Three things to look for in a dental practice

Are you new to the area? Changed jobs? Perhaps just looking for a second opinion from another health care professional?
We would like to help and would love to talk to you.
The 3 important things to consider when chosing a dental practice nearby or afar are:

  1. Is the dental clinic able to get to know you properly?:
Will the information or story of your dental health and your values be available next time you visit, and the year after and the year after?
[Yes, at our practice your dental health records will be available year, after year so we know and understand the history of each part of your dental health.]
  2. Quality:
How committed is the staff and dentists to absolute excellence in infection control and safety for everyone involved? Do the dentists stay up-to-date? Is this a practice where people know their own skill level and are willing to refer you to specialists when needed? Are they constantly updating so you get the best care where you are?
[We do at least 20 hours of intensive professional development each year and we also have great relationships with specialist dentists who we consult with and refer to, if needed.]
  3. Does the dental clinic have a preventative long term view of your dental health?
Long term dental health is not simply concerned with the amount of money spent on treatment. Even very expensive treatment will fail disasterously unless you and the dental team partner in keeping your mouth healthy.
[We encourage you to ask questions at your appointments. There is no question that can't be asked. In addition, a small part of our committment to your long term dental health, is maintaining a web site with a range of information to improve your understanding of dental health issues. These are regularly updated.]
