Our History
Our practice has been a trusted part of the Camberwell community since 1974, when it was founded by principal dentist Dr Don Highfield. In 1999, leadership passed to Dr Erik Magee, who continued to uphold the same values of care and excellence. Dr Stephen Liew joined the practice nearly 20 years ago, becoming a Partner in 2013.
In 2024, following Dr Magee’s retirement, Dr Marjan Ardebili joined Dr Liew as Partner after ten years as an Associate.
Our entire team of dentists reflects this same spirit of continuity. Dr Sue King and Dr Lin Liang have been with us for over 20 years. Dr Hawkins, Dr Lim and Dr Douglas were all patients of our practice, inspired to be a part of the dental profession due to their experiences with us. They joined our team after graduation & carry forward the practice’s future with a shared sense of purpose.
These long-standing relationships and organic succession planning form the heart of our legacy - maintaining the values that have guided this practice for over five decades.

Oral sleep appliances (Mandibular Advancement Splints, MAS) are custom-made devices worn during sleep to help manage obstructive sleep apnoea and snoring. They gently repositioning the jaw to keep the airway open, improving breathing and sleep quality.
Creation of MAS devices requires additional training, which our senior dentists have undertaken. We will liase with your sleep physician to reduce your symptoms via a custom-made MAS, as appropriate.
