Meet the Team

Stephen completed his dental degree at the University of Melbourne in 2006. He enjoys helping patients achieve dental health via ideal treatment planning with a focus on patient comfort, including providing Nitrous Oxide sedation as required.  He takes complex rehabilitation and cosmetic cases by referral.

Stephen is the 2024-27 elected Speaker (Chair) of the FDI World Dental Federation General Assembly, based in Geneva, Switzerland, which develops global oral health policy to inform the WHO & UN, representing over 130 nations & 1 million practitioners. He is the third Australian to hold the position since 1900.

Stephen was one of twenty international oral health leaders selected to attend the 2025 Global Oral Health Leadership Institute Program run by Harvard University, Kings College London & the International College of Dentists.

As a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors with an Order of Merit, & the HWA Health Sector Leadership Program, Stephen has 15 years of non-executive directorship experience. He is a past Federal & Victorian President of the Australian Dental Association, representing the dental profession at the 2023 Senate Inquiry into Dental Services in Australia, and regularly interviewed in the media regarding oral health. He sits on the Board of Directors of Victorian Medical Insurance Agency Ltd.

Stephen has chaired or sat on multiple professional committees along with appointments to industry/government panels at state and national level, including the Australian Digital Health Agency Secure Messaging Committee, the University of Melbourne Doctor of Dental Surgery curriculum review panel, the Australian Dental Council examination authoring team, & the FDI 2021-23 World Congress committee - leading the 2022 Australian delegation in Geneva and hosting the World Dental Congress in Sydney in 2023.

Early in his career, Stephen received the inaugural Australian Outstanding Young Dentist Award, and for contributions to the profession has since been awarded Fellowship of the International College of Dentists, the Pierre Fauchard Academy & the Academy of Dentistry International, Honorary Membership of the New Zealand Dental Association, alongside appointment as a Patron of the Drug Advisory Council of Australia.

Before moving to Camberwell, Stephen worked rurally at the Cobram District Hospital and Goulburn Valley Health, & provided volunteer dentistry in regions including remote Northern Territory aboriginal communities, Gippsland & internationally in Nepal.

He lives locally with his daughter & wife Susanna, a Mobile Vet. Outside of practice Stephen is a freelance photographer and enjoys adventuring outdoors.

Marjan has a passion for providing excellent care to all her patients from the young in age to the young at heart, as she has a breadth of experience in all areas of general and aesthetic dentistry. Her cheerful and kind personality allows her patients, especially those with dental anxieties, to feel relaxed and comfortable. She can provide Nitrous Oxide gas during your appointment to help make the treatment more at ease. Marjan makes time to advise her patients on preventive care, talk through all the treatment options and always aims to provide treatment in a gentle and caring manner.

After graduating from the University of Manchester, UK in 2008, she worked as a Senior House Officer in the department of Maxillofacial Surgery before joining a family dental practice while completing her post-graduate qualification, MFDS (Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery). She now happily calls Melbourne home.

When not caring for her patients, Marjan enjoys broadening her horizons through travel and on the weekends she teaches children's classes which focus on helping kids build their inner character.
